Hi everyone,
I’m sorry that it’s taken so long to send an update out with respect to Youth Theatre. As many of you will be aware, the society has been going through a period of change and we have only now been able to devote time to the topic.
Kei Bailey stood down last year as the Creative Director for the group which has left us with a significant void to fill. Unfortunately, although we have pursued a number of options, we have been unable to find a replacement to take over running the Youth Theatre.
After several Committee meetings discussing all options we have had to take the decision that at present we’re unable to support a Youth Theatre. Sadly, this means we will have to close the group for the foreseeable future.
I’m sorry we’ve not given an update before now. We had hoped to be able to provide a more positive outcome. Should any options present themselves in the future for us to restart the group we will, of course, consider these.
