Heckington Players 2009 spring production was a series of one Act Plays.
Play 1: Last Tango in Little Grimley
By David Tristram
Directed by Kei Bailey
Little Grimley Amateur Dramatic Society is in trouble. The Membership has dwindled to four – the audiences aren’t much bigger- and if they don’t come up with some rent money soon, they’re going to be thrown out. “There’s only one thing that sells tickets these days”, argues Gordon the Chairman. “Sex!”. Thus begins the chaotic and hilarious build-up to an evening of extraordinary home-grown drama- an evening the locals would never forget.

Grey-haired and wrinkled Grace may be, but she’s determined to add a dash of spice to her life to break the tedium. She convinces the unwilling Lily into helping her kidnap the young Care Assistant, Pansy, for the ransom of a bottle of gin, a packet of fags and a budgie but things don’t go quite according to plan – with hilarious results.
